Child Protection and Safeguarding
Ysgol Y Strade gives full priority to the welfare and safety of its pupils.
Our aim is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive, and caring environment, enabling them to develop confidence and belief in their own abilities.
The school has clear and robust arrangements in place to safeguard children, and we work in close partnership with parents/carers and relevant agencies.

Key staff within the school are responsible for matters relating to child protection, and they have received additional training. These key staff are:
- Mrs Heulwen Jones (Child Protection Officer / Designated Person)
- Mr Daniel Hughes (Deputy Child Protection Officer)
- Mr Steffan Rogers (Governor with Responsibility for Child Protection)

At Ysgol Y Strade, we recognise the importance of promoting online safety and positive online behaviour.
