School Uniform (Sixth Uniform)
Sixth Form students maintain the school’s uniform standards by setting an example to the rest of the pupils by wearing:
- The official jumper or cardigan
- Straight black trousers or skirt (for the girls)
- White shirt
- Sixth Form tie
The school uniform is in accordance with the Welsh Government policies on school uniform and appearance. The new uniform will be cheaper to buy and will be unisex.
Where to buy the uniform?
You may purchase the new uniform from two local suppliers, Picton Sports and Toppers and also High Street shops/Supermarkets in town. Please note all school jumpers require a school badge. Both Picton Sports and Toppers provide embroidery service at a reasonable cost if you wish to purchase the jumper in any high street shop/supermarket.
❌ It is not permitted for students to wear:
- Colourful trainers and ‘Converse’.
- Earrings – only one stud – one in each ear and only on the lower part of the ear lobe.
- Studs or rings on any other part of their body, e.g. nose, eyebrows etc.
- More than one ring on each hand.
- Jumper/sweatshirt/hoodie/coloured jacket of any type.
- Shoes without socks/tights.
- Shirt/blouse outside of the trousers/skirt.
- Make-up/Fake nails.
- Coloured hair or extreme hairstyle.
- Leather or Denim jacket
💡Tip:
Remember to label each item of clothing for your child. There are numerous instances of students losing items of school uniform/clothing, especially coats, which can be expensive to replace. Without a clear name inside, it’s difficult to ensure that the item is returned to its correct owner.
